So last night we got an invite to Graziano’s Annual Food & Wine Festival and boy did we have a ball! Firstly, I’m ashamed to admit that, although we’ve lived in Miami for nearly five years, we’d never perused this amazingly well-stocked gourmet emporium; after last night’s festivities, we won’t be making that mistake again.
Sumptuous meats sizzled on the sidewalk grill as live music spilled out into the street from inside Graziano’s ample market; Miami’s beautiful people milled, schmoozed, drank, and ate to their heart’s content, and all for a good cause – proceeds went to support the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation. Who said charity wasn’t sexy?
Patrons were treated to unlimited wine tastings, and being the gracious guests that we are (ahem), we bravely took Graziano’s up on their challenge; notable offerings were Balbo’s Cabernet and IL Borro’s Chianti, but the night’s clear winner was Bodega El Porvenir De Cafayate‘s 2013 Cabernet Franc – Malbec blend. Smooth and fruity, it will satisfy even the most finicky palate. Serve it without reservations this holiday season, it is bound to be everyone’s new favorite.
Graziano’s is THE place to go for the best and largest selection of Argentine wines, meats, and condiments in Miami; no South Floridian wine connoisseur or self-respecting foodie can pass up this Coral Gables gem. Located at 2301 Galiano Street, Graziano’s is easy to get to from most Miami neighborhoods, but like most establishments in the area, finding parking is a mission. Luckily, they have three other locations – Weston, Hialeah, and Bird Road in Westchester county – so if CG isn’t your bag, there’s nothing stopping you from enjoying Graziano’s top-shelf products and service.
