After last Saturday’s Eats n’ Beats food and wine orgy at the stunning Moore Building located in the Heart of Miami‘s posh Design District, there is no longer any doubt – when it’s fabulous food, drinks, and entertainment you crave, there is no greater destination than South Florida!
Set to the sensual sounds of Kitty Carmichael, the event opened up on four floors filled to capacity with cutting edge food creations and specialty drinks, served meticulously by friendly and beautiful staff – a foodie’s paradise, set to Miami’s highest standards. The music, the light show, the people and the atmosphere were pure magic; kudos to Creativas Group Branding and Public Relations for an amazing night – as always, produced to perfection.
With enough culinary creations to satisfy every palate, there was no way to go wrong no matter which way you turned; however, there were a few notables that rose above the rest. Here are my picks for the top culinary creations from 2014 Eats n’ Beats event…
Shots with Stoli Vodka!
Miamians know schmoozing!
Nothing like cool jazz to light up the night!
Stunning views at Eats’n’Beats
Friends Just Wine – Wine in a Can Another outstanding offering from the liquor brigade, this neat little can o’ wine comes in Cab Merlot, Moscato, Chardonnay, and Sangria (both red and white) versions; great for picnics or the beach! Cheers!
Titi’s Treats – Coconut Confection Beautiful baskets of hand-dipped chocolate covered berries and these scrumptious little devils will put a big smile on anybody’s face! YUM!
Brooklyn Brewery – Yes I’m a New Yorker and of COURSE I’m biased…but BB’s newest offering, the ‘Local 1,’ is truly the champagne of beers.
LIQS – Cocktail Shots to go, Assorted Flavors Ok, this is simply brilliant – your favorite shots in neat, single-sized servings. Perfect for parties; no mess, no fuss, and they taste delicious.
Petit Pois Catering – Tuna Tartare Sounds innocent enough, right? Wrong. Very likely the best tuna tartare I’ve had. EVER.
Savor the Moment Catering – Risotto Bites Wrapped in Filo Dough I’d never heard of Savor the Moment, but these bites are addicting! Warning – you can’t have just one! (Or ten…!)
The Rusty Pelican – Pistachio Crusted Scallops on a Boñiato & Pineapple Garnish Pistachio Crusted Scallops on a Boñiato & Pineapple Garnish The Rusty Pelican, another Miami staple, is known for its innovative dishes and amazing views; these scallops were A-MAZING!
Lario’s – Bacon Wrapped Sweet Plantains The iconic restaurant owned by Emilio and Gloria Estefan, Lario’s and her sister restaurant, Bongo’s, never disappoint. For true Cuban cuisine done elegantly, you can’t get any better than this.
Lario’s knows good food!
Meat Market Miami – Jalapeño Cornbread Pudding with Short Ribs Their website claims they are, “A sexier, more glamorous take on the traditional steakhouse…,” and I believe them. This dish was phenomenal, and if it’s any indication of the quality at their offerings, consider me a fan!
